PASTOR’S CORNER FOR FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH OCTOBER | BELOVED, WATCHOUT!
‘This know also, that in the last days…men shall be lovers of their ownselves…unthankful…despisers of those that are good…; Having a form of, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away…” 2 Tim. 3:1-6
Note, beloved, that we are in the last days already, meaning we are closer to eternity now than ever. Consequently, we must be diligent to check the list above to see to it that we have not been caught in the web. Believers have become unthankful people who despise those who are good to them. Is there somebody who has done you good yet you despised? Is there someone you have repaid evil for good? Have you bitten the finger that fed you? Remember, David set us a good example as he did good to the household of Jonathan, long after he was dead. Maybe there is somebody you need to contact or call right away to express your heart-felt gratitude right now! I agree with the person that said that if you are not grateful, you are a great fool!
One other dangerous syndrome of the last days is that people have the appearance of godliness, but they actually are not in deed. To be godly means to live a life that is in the direction of God, a life that reveals God among men. It is worked out from within, but it is seen without by all. We are in a religious generation, but the power that works godliness in men is very scarce. The world needs men who have the LIFE, not the form of it.
You must choose to stand out in godliness in this ungodly generation. It is a choice you must make and you must not break. It is urgent. SELAH!
